Some key milestones in the formation and operation of TouchStar plc (formerly Belgravium Technologies plc).
1904: The Company was incorporated in Scotland in 1904 (SC5543) and its country of operation is the United Kingdom.
1995: The Group acquired Belgravium Ltd.
1999: The group suffered losses in 1999 due to loss of confidence in engineering markets.
2001: All the loss-making engineering businesses and contingent liabilities were sold.The remaining company was re-named Belgravium Technologies Plc and thought it more relevant to transfer onto AIM. A Placing at the time raised £420,000.
2004: This year marked the 100th year of Belgravium Technologies Plc as a registered company at Companies House. Belgravium Technologies was incorporated on 24 February 1904 and in this year held its 100th Annual General Meeting.
2005: Belgravium Technologies plc acquired Touchstar Technologies Ltd to further consolidate its position as the leading UK mobile computing provider.
The proposal was announced on the London AIM Stock Exchange on Tuesday
27th September 2005, ratified by Belgravium Technologies shareholders at an EGM held on 21st October 2005 and was formally completed on the 24th October 2005.
2013: On 31st May 2013 Belgravium Technologies acquired the entire issued share capital of Feedback Data plc, an AIM listed company. The company specialises in the provision of facilities management solutions, notably CCTV, Access Control and Time & Attendance systems.
2016: TouchStar Technologies Limited, unveiled its new brand identity which saw all existing group brands come together under the umbrella brand of “TouchStar”.
On the 24th May 2016 Belgravium Technologies PLC was renamed as TouchStar plc. The proposal was approved by shareholders at the AGM held on the same day.
TouchStar plc is now a leading manufacturer of electronic data capture equipment and related software solutions, with a wide range of blue-chip clients throughout the UK and Europe.
